HDB Rewiring Packages

Rewiring is the largest electrical job a flat will have done, and it is disruptive. It is worth being clear about whether you need it before you price it.

Signs a flat needs rewiring

• A distribution board still using rewireable fuses instead of circuit breakers
• Breakers that trip when ordinary appliances run together
• Too few power points, and extension leads doing permanent work
• Wiring that has never been touched since the flat was built
• A renovation that adds an induction hob, water heater or additional aircon units

What is included

Each package covers a new distribution board, full circuit rewiring, switches and power points, and testing and handover. The number of points and circuits varies by flat type, which is why the packages are grouped that way.

Living in the flat while it is done

You can. Power is switched off in stages rather than all at once, so the flat stays liveable while the work runs. We will tell you which parts of the flat are affected on which days before we start.
