Aircon Chemical Overhaul

A chemical overhaul is the most thorough aircon service. The fan coil unit is dismantled, and the coil, blower and drainage are chemically cleaned individually.

When a unit needs one

• Cooling is poor and a chemical wash has not fixed it
• The unit has not been serviced in several years
• Persistent musty smell when the unit runs
• Water leaking from the unit because drainage is badly clogged

Overhaul or chemical wash?

A wash cleans the coil in place. An overhaul takes the unit apart to reach what a wash cannot. An overhaul takes longer and costs more, so it is worth having someone look at the unit before booking one — not every poorly cooling unit needs it.
