LEW Licensing & Endorsement
What a Licensed Electrical Worker endorsement is, and when a property needs one.
Certain electrical work in Singapore has to be carried out or endorsed by a Licensed Electrical Worker, and certain supply applications will not proceed without one.
When it comes up
- Applying for or upgrading an electrical supply
- Work on installations above the threshold where an LEW is required
- Submissions that require a licensed worker to sign off
What to do
If you have been told your job needs an LEW endorsement, call and describe the work and the property. We will tell you whether it genuinely needs one, and what the submission involves, before anything is committed.
If it does not need one, we will say so. Being told you need a licensed submission when you do not is an expensive misunderstanding.
