Aircon Gas Top Up
Refrigerant top up, and finding the leak that caused the loss.
If an aircon runs but no longer cools, low refrigerant is one likely cause. There is something worth understanding first.
Refrigerant does not get used up
It circulates in a sealed system. If the level is low, it has escaped — which means there is a leak. Topping up without finding the leak means the same call again in a few months, and paying for gas twice.
What we do
- Check the pressure and confirm whether refrigerant is actually low
- Look for the leak rather than only refilling
- Top up to the correct level for the system
- Test the cooling afterwards
If someone offers to top up your gas without mentioning a leak, ask why the level dropped.
