Ceiling stains in an HDB flat

A damp patch on your ceiling is usually coming from the unit above, not from your own pipes. That makes it a conversation with your neighbour and possibly the town council before it is a repair. We can tell you what we are looking at and what the likely source is, which is generally the information you need to have that conversation.

Chokes that keep coming back

Clearing a choke is easy. Clearing it so it stays clear means knowing why it choked. If a floor trap blocks every few months, something upstream is wrong — and clearing it again is treating the symptom.

Burst pipe or serious flooding: turn off the water at the main stopcock first, then call. The phone is answered 24 hours a day.
