Whole-House Re-Wiring

Whole house rewiring replaces the wiring, the circuits and usually the distribution board. It is the job you do once and then do not think about for decades.

When a home needs it

• The board still uses rewireable fuses rather than circuit breakers
• Breakers trip when ordinary appliances run at the same time
• The wiring has never been touched since the property was built
• A renovation is adding an induction hob, water heater or more aircon

How long it takes

It depends on the size of the property and the number of points. What matters more to most people is that you can stay in the home while it happens — power comes off in stages, room by room, rather than the whole place at once.
