Aircon running but not cooling, leaking water, or making noise.
An aircon that is clearly running but not doing its job has a handful of likely causes, and they are not equally expensive.
Running but not cold
Commonly a dirty coil restricting airflow, or refrigerant that has leaked. The first is a cleaning job, the second needs the leak found. Both start with someone looking at the unit.
Leaking water
Almost always blocked drainage rather than a fault in the unit. One of the more straightforward calls we get.
Noisy
Rattling is usually a loose panel or mounting. Grinding or squealing points at the fan bearing, and is worth attending to before it fails completely.
